For 122 consecutive years, beginning on July 18th and culminating on July 26th, the Feast of Saint Anne, the faithful have come daily to Saint Anne Shrine to participate in the annual Novena to its patroness, Good Saint Anne. The theme of the 2009 Novena was "Where Do We Find Hope?" Over 400 of the faithful participated each evening enjoying the beauty and rich tradition of this Catholic devotion in solidarity with the many pilgrims of all faiths, cultures and generations. The music was uplifting and the speakers, celebrants and homilists were inspiring. The 2010 theme of our 123rd Novena is "... To Whom Shall We Go? ...". We are sure that you will find this year's Novena spiritually refreshing and illuminating. Fr Peter, A.A., Shrine Director, invites everyone to join him in July for the 2010 Novena! PRAYER TO SAINT ANNE O, glorious Saint Anne, you are filled with compassion for those who invoke you and with love for those who suffer. Heavily burdened with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at your feet and humbly beg of you to take the present intention which I recommend to you in your special care. Please recommend it to your daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and place it before the throne of Jesus, so that He may bring it to a happy issue. Continue to intercede for me until my request is granted. But, above all, obtain for me the grace one day to see my God face to face and, with you and Mary and all the saints, to praise and bless Him for all eternity. Amen.
